Bountagu

Welcome to the Bountagu 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Bountagu as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.

The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Bountagu with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.

  • August 28, 2021 Film

    No less than three films were made at this Funday back in August. Here is a link to one made by a youth organisation that works closely with Big Local https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXNZh_DzKqI and another film is available tio upload here on this site.

    In August 2021, Bountagu Big Local organisaed a Family Funday. The event brought together residents, small local businesses and service providers. Anecdotal evidence is that that people feel the area is better because of the events " things are seen to be happening and the neighbourhood has more life. This was particularly significant following COVID-19 lockdowns.

  • August 10, 2020 Film

    In the next couple of weeks we will be giving away pouches as part of the 'Meet & Greets' within the Bountagu area. The pouches contain 1 x Face Mask, 1 x Sanitiser, 1 x pack of tissues along with information about Bountagu.

    Partnership members, volunteers and the LTO representative reflect on how they are rebuilding Bountagu Big Local - their learning after a difficult patch and their positivity going forward.

    The Community Fair was organised to raise the profile of the Big Local and the work it is supporting. In this film those involved in Bountagu reflect on the challenges facing the community.
