Welcome to the Revoe Blackpool 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Revoe Blackpool as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.
The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Revoe Blackpool with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.
Covid-19 has had a huge impact on many people in the Birchfield area and in response Birchfield Big Local has commissioned local social enterprises to offer a community-based approach to addressing the priorities raised. Activities include a mixture of online and one-to-one or small group programmes designed to address priorities such as nutrition and diabetes; promoting better mental health; promoting physical exercise and fitness; reducing isolation; supporting families; and helping people back into work, training or self-employment.
