Welcome to the Grassland Hasmoor 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Grassland Hasmoor as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.

The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Grassland Hasmoor with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.

Dislays from the BL groups enabled us all to see what has been achieved in each others' BL areas. This board shows some of the activities offered by the Working Age Families group. The final session Big Local 5 Themes.  Everyone was invited to post comments about how the have managed or reacted to the themes. An interesting exercise. GHBL Green and Open Spaces group display Thurscoe Big Local display This is the hasland Hub meeting and conference room.  GHBL meetings are held here regulkarly.  Outside groups such as the Unemployd Workers  use the room for consultations, etc. Ghbl did not have a focal point in the Hasland end of the BL area.  The Hasland Hub was found, furnished and refurbished by volunteers.  This is the reception and administrative office. The eastwood Park Petanque Club, supported/sponsored by GHBL, sprang from a little used corner of the park.  It is now a thriving club with 55 members who are able to play four times each week. Presentation by Big Warsop Big Local. member GHBL Chairman, Stephen Wright outlining the programme for the day. Children and Young People group display.

Members of Thurnscoe, Big Warsop and Elmton, Cresswell and Hodthorpe Big Locals attended the GHBL Autumn Network Event 2016. The event included a mini bus tour of the GHBL area, presentations by the groups to the groups & a pie and peas lunch.
