Welcome to the Hanwell 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Hanwell as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.
The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Hanwell with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.
HBL is running a variety of activities and workshops for residents of HBL to get involved in with the Green Hanwell Project, They started with the house plant workshop and they then run a family craft session making herbal gifts for Mother's Day. In April they were planting sunflowers and pumpkins which they will bring back in September to see how big they have grown. In May they made fairy and dinosaur mini gardens, In June they did flower bread making they learned how to knead the dough what ingredients they needed to add and how much. This month they were Making Natural Pictures using the natural materials i.e. flowers, leaves, sticks.
