Welcome to the Catton Grove 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Catton Grove as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.
The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Catton Grove with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.
Waterloo United FC is a community football team. It was started by two local men looking to keep fit during the pandemic and is open to all. They play in Waterloo Park, and have been supported by Catton Grove Big Local. In this film they explain what it is all about and the role that big local has played in getting them up and running. After many months of negotiation Catton Grove Big Local are pleased to announce that we have finally signed the lease on the old Police Box on Woodcock Rd, giving us the 'green light' to turn it into a community resource for the whole community.
The Catton Grove Big Local Area Plan outlines the partnership's priorities and work plan from July 2014 to June 2017. Those priorities include improved access to employment, training, information and advice as well as activities.
