Young people cooking and recycling in Barrowcliff
August 12, 2019

The Big Local Partnership commissioned professional artists and designers from Hull-based organisation, Creative Briefs, to run a week-long project for children and young people during the summer holidays. The project engaged 25 young Barrowcliff residents who, in teams, came up with creative solutions to recycling in their community. As well as trying their hand at art and design, the participants also got involved in planning, preparing and cooking a healthy lunch each day for themselves and their peers. The project culminated in the young people pitching their unique recycling designs to the public in the newly refurbished Scarborough Market Hall.
