Welcome to the Catton Grove 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Catton Grove as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.

The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Catton Grove with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.

    Volunteers at the community allotment show how Catton Grove Big Local is encouraging people to get some fresh air, to grow food and to make new friends.

    This film shows the opening of the Catton Grove Big Local ‘box’ - previously a disused police office. This is the culmination of lots of work around negotiating management and refurbishment of the space, and the start of a local hub for activities and services in Catton Grove.

    Our latest newsletter celebrates signing the lease on the old Police Station in Woodcock Road which gives us the 'green light' to turn it into a Big Local community resource centre.

    The Catton Grove Big Local Area Plan outlines the partnership’s priorities and work plan from July 2014 to June 2017. Those priorities include improved access to employment, training, information and advice as well as activities for young people and older people and health promotion to build an active and vibrant community.
